Long-term care

A solar system is low maintenance. That does not mean it should be ignored.

Monitoring can reveal a drop in performance, but it cannot tighten a connection, remove a new shading issue or assess physical damage. Thoughtful care protects output, safety and the useful life of your investment.

Three ways we help

Respond now. Improve next. Prevent later.

Start with the problem you can see — or the one you would rather catch early.

01

Repair

Investigate inverter faults, physical damage, alerts and unexplained drops in generation, then define the safest practical response.

02

Upgrade

Review batteries, monitoring, component replacement or expansion without losing sight of the existing system constraints.

03

Maintain

Use scheduled visual, electrical and performance checks to catch smaller issues before they become expensive interruptions.

Performance, made visible

Know when something changes.

Generation naturally moves with season and weather. Monitoring helps separate those normal changes from alerts, outages or persistent underperformance worth investigating.

Why it matters

Small checks protect the bigger investment.

Maintenance is about sustained performance, safe operation and fewer surprises.

01

Protect output

Identify performance changes caused by faults, dirt, shading or damage.

02

Prevent escalation

Catch smaller issues before they create extended downtime or larger repairs.

03

Stay informed

Understand what the system is doing and when a change needs attention.

04

Plan upgrades well

Make future additions with clear knowledge of the system already in place.

All FAQs
What maintenance does a solar system need?

Good systems are low maintenance, not no maintenance. Monitoring, visual checks, safe cleaning when needed and periodic electrical inspection help catch shading, damage or performance changes early.

Do you service systems installed by someone else?

Yes. We can assess, maintain and repair many systems regardless of who installed them, subject to safe access and component availability.

What warranties are included?

Warranty terms depend on the exact panels, inverter, battery and workmanship in your proposal. Current Energy Point packages may include long product warranties, but the signed proposal and manufacturer documents are the source of truth.

How do I monitor performance?

Most modern systems include an app or web portal showing generation and system status. We set it up at handover and can investigate alerts or unexplained drops in output.

What if a storm damages the system?

Make the site safe, contact your insurer and call us. We can inspect the system, isolate damaged equipment where required and provide information for repair planning. Cover depends on your policy and product warranty terms.
